J.A.F.F.Y 03:24
I have a thing for Descartes demon, You have a thing for Freud and Plato. We're twisted, it's true, but we are well meaning, Our heart's on our sleeve and our mind's like Playdo. You tell me that I'm one of a kind, I tell you that you've lost your mind. There's clearly something wrong, with the human design, Because we're so blind. (Refrain) Zombie. You're a zombie. Wont you let me Try to make you happy. Driving your parents Cadillac, A smile, with the tell-tale signs of Prozac. I'm not surprised that you never called me back, You've got a sad, sad story to tell. Everyone's got their own amount of baggage, Some have a purse, some a horse drawn carriage. And though your own load is quite probably average, You've convinced yourself that you're going to Hell. (Refrain) Zombie. You're a zombie. Wont you let me Try to make you happy. You say you're walking in the sun, But I am walking in the rain. My cloud's silver lining, Shines best when wet and grey. I like philosophy, and I like Blake's Tree of Mystery. Egar Allen Poe is gonna ring your damn bells, But he sounds like Heaven ringing right out of Hell. I like philosophy, and I like Blake's Tree of Mystery. You and I are perfectly matched to one another in astrology. (Refrain) Zombie. You're a zombie. Wont you let me Try to make you happy.

Recollection 04:11
The way we used to be, Everything I wanted to see. What became of those childhood dreams? Now lost to time, erased, it seems. It can't be helped, truth be told, New ways of thought must replace the old. And though I can't say it's all that bad, Moving on is kind of sad. Bewilderment builds up ideas, Wonder, awe, and childhood fears. But time goes by, it's hard to keep, Vivid dreams from a sleep so deep. (Refrain) Don't look back It can't be helped, truth be told, New ways of thought must replace the old. And though I can't say it's all that bad, Moving on is kind of sad. Bewilderment builds up ideas, Wonder, awe, and childhood fears. But time goes by, it's hard to keep, Vivid dreams from a sleep so deep. (Refrain) Don't look back

Bring night, bring the night on, Bring a little bit of dance bring a little bit of song. Yeah. Bring night, bring the night on, I'm not sure I can wait and this day has felt so long. Yeah. Bring night, bring the night on, The music cuts into me and I know it can't be wrong. Yeah. Bring night, bring the night on, Cause all that we are after is a little bit of fun. Yeah. Chase your shadow till the sun goes down. Chase your shadow till the sun goes down. *Vocal Break* Bring night, bring the night on, Bring me the moon and stars and send away the sun. Yeah. Bring night, bring the night on, Or maybe if I'm lucky I'll end up in your arms. Chase your shadow till the sun goes down. Chase your shadow till the sun goes down . *Vocal Break* Chase your shadow till the sun goes down. Chase your shadow till the sun goes down . *Vocal Break*

The Odyssey 03:54
Time keeps marching on, no rest, No chance to stop and think, Or simply catch your breath. Mistakes a hundred-thousand fold, I'm sure I'll make a thousand more. One day I'll be good at this, But sure as Hell, I'm not there yet. Everyone kept telling me,, That you were totally legit. You led me to believe that this was love; He talks a lot of shit. (Refrain) It doesn't matter You keep telling me that you're so smart, But you're not making any sense. How are we supposed to move on, When you're not talking in the present tense. Life ain't meant to be straight forward, I sure wish it weren't so bent. Life ain't meant to be straight forward, I sure wish it weren't so bent. (Refrain) It doesn't matter * Vocal Break * (Refrain) It doesn't matter You can struggle and deny, But you'll only run the mile, If you just come to terms, With the person that you are.

about

This is the debut EP for The Vitriols, their first foray from the reflective depths of some unknown garage.
Starting out during the midst of school, they spent indelible nights dwelling over countless chord progressions, lyrical tidbits, and rich melodies, of both their favorite artists and their own design. They wrote and recorded innumerable songs, continually performing and developing their musical traits and abilities. Many of these songs were lost to time, memory and better musical judgement, but kept persevering. Eventually, they distilled down this music and with the help of a proper studio recorded their first true EP. They know that their musical journey has only just begun, but they've got a contagious pride for these raw, energetic and dynamic songs.
